Anyone can practice. Young man can practice. Old man can practice. Very old man can practice. Man who is sick, he can practice. Man who doesn't have strength can practice. Except lazy people; lazy people can't practice Ashtanga yoga.K. Pattabhi Jois
We believe that raising consciousness, treating our bodies as a temple, and living life as a moving meditation are the foundations of a whole life. When we live from our divine essence, we remember who we are and in this creation of space within ourselves, we reclaim our power and infinite ability to manifest our dreams. With modifications for every level, the practice is for everyone. Beginners can go to a class feeling confident that they will be able to fully take part, and advanced yogis never have to feel that they can go no further, as there is always room to grow. Yoga does not tolerate the belittlement of oneself; we don’t shame our bodies for what they can’t do. Instead, we forgive ourselves for our treatment of our bodies and praise them for what they can do for us today. Yoga is for everybody, and, more importantly, yoga is for everybody.
Finding The Balance
Balance begins from the inside out and the ability to stay steady depends on a variety of factors, whether you’re in Tree Pose (Vrikshasana), Boat Pose (Navasana), Eagle Pose (Garudasana), or a host of others. For the balance-challenged, we offer a few simple tips to help you cultivate stillness, no matter what pose you’re working with."Meditation practice contributes to awareness and stability of the mind. These are the qualities that allow a person to live a more ethical and conscious life.
(Guru)
Ultimately, life is full of teachers— teachers come in many forms and the whole world is our classroom. However, it is a great gift to have a spiritual teacher with whom we can connect and receive knowledge and inspiration. The Sanskrit word guru means “gu” (darkness,) and “ru” (that which dispels.) The guru is a spiritual teacher who helps guide us from unreal to real, darkness to light, ignorance to knowledge. A Sattvic Guru is an embodiment of Love, Peace, and Truth. In their presence, we are uplifted and humbly guided into our own awakening. You must listen to your heart while searching for your teachers. Seek out a teacher who emanates Love, Truth, and Peace. Choose a teacher who is devoted to their own practice and awakening, comes from a traditional lineage and follows ancient scriptures not only in words but in everyday life.
Additionally, look to the yoga masters for inspiration— the great sages, spiritual masters, and realized beings.

- I practice meditation in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, which gives me more awareness, stamina, and concentration. I can stay focused for longer periods of time and I can develop ideas with a more open and spacious mind.
